FAQ

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about SponsorStack, whether you’re a club, athlete, agency or a business looking to sponsor.

Is SponsorStack free?

+

Yes, both portals have a free plan. You can upgrade if you want more features:

  • Club Portal: Free, Pro £19.99/month or Elite £39.99/month
  • Brand Portal: Free, or Elite £19.99/month

What’s the difference between the Club Portal and the Brand Portal?

+

The Club Portal is for clubs and teams managing sponsors across a whole club: packages, player sponsorship, a public sponsorship page and a portal for every sponsor.

The Brand Portal is for individual athletes and content creators running their own partnerships: deliverables, payments, a media kit and a public “Sponsor Me” page.

Can I use it with sponsors I’ve found myself?

+

Yes. The portals work whether SponsorStack brokered the deal or you brought your own sponsor. Most people use them to manage sponsors they already have.

What does my sponsor see?

+

Each sponsor gets a private, branded portal link. It shows their deliverables and progress, engagement from QR codes and links, matchday photos, your fixtures and socials, and their invoices and documents.

It means no more chasing emails about what’s been done. Sponsors can check any time, which makes renewals much easier.

Can I list sponsorship slots for businesses to book online?

+

Yes. When you create a package in the Club Portal or Brand Portal, tick “List on SponsorStack Marketplace”. Once approved, local businesses can find it on our Live Opportunities page and book and pay online. Not on a portal yet? Use “Submit an opportunity” on that page and we’ll list it for you.

Listing is free and you receive your full price. A 15% SponsorStack booking fee is added on top for the sponsor.

Can SponsorStack find sponsors for us?

+

For a small number of selected clubs and athletes, yes. Through managed representation we approach local businesses, negotiate a category-exclusive deal, write the contract and manage the relationship.

It’s commission only, with nothing upfront, and the commission is agreed in writing before anything is signed. Spaces are limited, so register your interest and we’ll be in touch about suitability.

Do we need to be a registered club?

+

No. Anyone can use the software, from formally constituted clubs to individual athletes and creators. For managed representation, we look for an active team or competitive schedule and a public social media presence.

Is my data safe?

+

SponsorStack Ltd is registered with the ICO (ZC114185) and handles your data in line with UK GDPR. You can read our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement for full details.

Who are organisation workspaces for?

+

Teams that manage sponsorship for more than one person: management agencies, media and content companies, and semi-pro or pro clubs with a commercial team.

How much does it cost?

+

Pricing is tailored to the size of your team and roster. Book a demo or request a quote and we’ll put together a plan that fits.

Can we list our roster’s opportunities on your marketplace?

+

Yes. Packages created in your organisation workspace can be listed on our Live Opportunities page for local businesses to book and pay online. Every listing is reviewed by SponsorStack before it goes live. You receive your full price, and a 15% booking fee is added on top for the sponsor.

Can our agents have their own logins?

+

Yes. You can add your own staff and external agents, each with their own login. Agents submit partnerships for your sign-off before anything is agreed, so you stay in control of every deal.

How does commission tracking work?

+

You set each agent’s commission rate. When a partnership they brought in is agreed, their commission is worked out automatically on the value before VAT. You can see what’s owed and paid per agent, record payments with an emailed receipt and export everything to CSV.

Does everyone on our roster get their own public page?

+

Yes. Every athlete, creator or channel can have a public “Sponsor Me” page and media kit, and every partner gets their own sponsor portal.

How long does setup take?

+

We create your organisation and help you add your roster, then you invite your team. Most organisations can be up and running within days.

How do I sponsor a club or athlete?

+

There are two ways:

How much does it cost?

+

It depends on the club or athlete and what’s included. One-off matchday slots are the most affordable way to start, and full season partnerships are priced around the visibility you want. Prices are always shown up front on Live Opportunities, or agreed with you before you commit.

How will I know my sponsorship is working?

+

Every sponsor gets their own private portal showing deliverables and progress, QR scans and link clicks from your placements, matchday photos and your invoices.

Tailored partnerships managed by SponsorStack also include a quarterly performance report.

What does category exclusivity mean?

+

On partnerships managed by SponsorStack, no other business in your industry can sponsor the same club or athlete for the length of your agreement. It’s written into the contract. For example, if you’re a car dealership, no rival dealer will appear on the same kit, signage or social posts.

Am I locked into a long contract?

+

No. Matchday slots are one-off bookings with no ongoing commitment. Season partnerships run for a fixed term that’s agreed with you before you pay. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.

What if a club doesn’t deliver what was agreed?

+

Every deliverable is tracked in your sponsor portal, so you can see exactly what’s been done. If something’s missed, get in touch and we’ll work with the club to put it right.

Which areas do you cover?

+

Our marketplace and managed partnerships focus on clubs and athletes across Scotland, so your brand is genuinely local. Get in touch to see what’s available near you.
